Florescu Timberwolves: A Promising First Chapter

The inaugural season of the Florescu Timberwolves in Hockey Online Manager has officially wrapped up, and while we didn't make it to the playoffs this time around, it was a season full of progress, learning, and strong signs of what's to come.

Laying the Foundation

In our very first season, the Timberwolves managed to finish 9th—a respectable result in a competitive league where matches are played daily. While we narrowly missed out on the playoffs, our team showed heart, consistency, and most importantly, potential. The squad began to gel, and some standout individual performances gave fans plenty to cheer for.

Stars on Ice

  • Carl Diaz emerged as our lethal weapon in front of the net, finishing the season with 31 goals.

  • Playmaker Carl Mageroy was the architect behind many of those strikes, racking up 29 assists.

  • The all-around MVP of the season? Ragnhild Vaa, who led the team in total points with 53, proving to be a cornerstone of our offense.

  • Between the pipes, Alois Kotasek proved his worth, finishing with an impressive 0.851 save percentage, solidifying his place as the Timberwolves' go-to goalie.

Youth Strategy Paying Off

One of the key focuses this season was on youth development—and it’s already showing results. We brought in a number of young, green players who have responded well to the training regimen, improving rapidly and showing flashes of brilliance throughout the season.

The highlight of this youth movement was the promotion of an A-talent from our very own Junior School: 16-year-old Jean-Louis Beauchemin. Already posting excellent stats in the youth league, Beauchemin is poised to be a future leader of the team—and potentially a league star.

Building Beyond the Ice

Off the ice, the Florescu Timberwolves are growing just as fast. We upgraded our stadium to 8,000 seats, with further expansion already on the roadmap. Fans are turning up, the atmosphere is buzzing, and the future is bright.

Facility-wise, we’ve been hard at work. This season saw upgrades across the board, and next season’s focus will be sharpened on three critical areas:

  • Training Center – to keep our player development curve steep.

  • Marketing – to grow our fanbase and boost revenues.

  • Junior School – to ensure a steady stream of future stars like Beauchemin.

Around the Hockey World

Meanwhile, on the international stage, World League 1 concluded with a thrilling final as Finland defeated Canada 4–2, taking the gold and showing the depth of European hockey powerhouses.

Looking Ahead

As we head into our second season, the foundation is set. We’ve got rising stars, a committed squad, and a club infrastructure that's starting to take shape. While we may have missed out on the playoffs this year, the Florescu Timberwolves are here to stay—and we're only getting started.

Stay tuned. The pack is growing.
