Florescu Timberwolves: A Fresh Howl in Hockey Online Manager

The ice is set, the skates are laced, and a new name is making waves in the digital rink: the Florescu Timberwolves. This newly-formed club marks the first venture of its manager into the world of Hockey Online Manager (hockey-online.org), bringing enthusiasm, curiosity, and ambition to the virtual ice.

Discovering the Game

This is the manager's first experience with Hockey Online Manager, an intriguing and strategic online game that blends sports management with long-term planning and tactical gameplay. Right from the start, the Timberwolves were created with a vision for growth and competitive excellence.

A Short History of Hockey Online Manager

Hockey Online Manager is an international ice hockey management simulation developed to offer a rich and realistic experience for hockey enthusiasts around the globe. The game emphasizes strategic depth over flashy graphics and offers a balanced mix of economics, player development, and match management.

What sets this game apart is its global structure—there are no national leagues, and all teams participate in the International League. The competitive hierarchy begins with the Minor Hockey League (MHL) at the fourth level, where our Florescu Timberwolves start their journey. As of now, there are 411 active users, with the majority of managers hailing from Russia, making for a competitive and diverse community.

Representing Austria with Romanian Pride

Despite the desire to represent Romania, the game does not currently offer a Romanian nationality or the option to recruit Romanian players. As a workaround, the Timberwolves have been established in Austria, carrying Romanian spirit and pride into the international arena.

MHL Structure and First Match

The MHL is structured with 30 teams divided into two conferences: Western and Eastern, each containing 16 teams. It’s a competitive league with real human managers, and no bots—each match is a test of genuine strategy.

In their first-ever official match, the Florescu Timberwolves secured a promising 5-3 victory against Zvadovskie Saratov, giving fans a taste of what this team is capable of.

Facilities, Squad Challenges, and Future Plans

The Timberwolves begin their campaign with a 500-seat arena, humble but ready to grow with success. Alongside it are seven different facilities available for upgrades, ranging from training grounds to medical centers and financial offices. Developing these will be key to building a strong foundation for future achievements.

However, the current squad presents a challenge: while the players are good, many of them are older and do not train effectively. A major priority going forward will be to rebuild the team with younger, more trainable talent to ensure long-term development and competitiveness.

Looking Ahead

With a strong debut and solid planning ahead, the Florescu Timberwolves are poised for a season full of discovery, learning, and steady progress. As the manager explores all the nuances of Hockey Online Manager, fans can expect this Austrian-Romanian hybrid to become a force in the MHL.

The howl of the Timberwolves has just begun. And it’s only going to get louder.

Ice Kings - the road to ice glory

I stumbled upon IceKings.ru, an online ice hockey manager game, almost by accident—but it quickly became one of my pass time hobbies. I was browsing the web, looking for some ice hockey manager games and i found on a page some rewiews. That’s when I came across IceKings.ru. The idea of building and managing my own team, making tactical decisions, and climbing the ranks against other players from around the world hooked me instantly. What started as simple curiosity soon turned into a full-on passion for mastering the ins and outs of this virtual ice rink.

IceKings.ru is developed by a team based in Russia. The game reflects a strong passion for ice hockey, which is one of the most popular sports in Russia, known for its rich hockey history and world-class players. The developers have channeled this enthusiasm into creating a detailed and competitive online hockey management experience, attracting players from around the world. IceKings.ru was launched in 2010. Since its inception, the game has attracted a substantial player base, with over 697,000 registered users as of November 2024(acording to the site).

Now, the thing is i don't belive that number. 😎 Whwn you look at every ranking there are maximum 950 players ranked. So...

Anyway, as a manager you have a team filled with players from around the world. I had ice hockey guys from Samoa or Indonesia, where you see some ice only in the cocktails. Pretty realistic.😁

There are no country leagues or something simillar, just one big Championship tournament. But you cannot participate in it, only whe you achive level 4.

To climb the levels you need to participate in many Cup tournaments who bring you money, experience and level points. This is my first cup win:

Carpeni Athletic: A Season of Growth and Ambition in Managerzone

As season 93 of the ManagerZone Romanian League 4.15 comes to a close, Carpeni Athletic finds itself in a respectable 5th position. This ...
